Hi, I’m Katie – therapist and owner of The Healing Barn – Horse • Human • Hound.
My mission is to help humans and animals move better and recover faster.
With advanced qualifications in physical therapies for horses, dogs, and people, I specialise in restoring mobility, enhancing performance, and supporting long-term wellness.
I treat a wide range of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, from chronic pain management to pre and post-surgery.
Not only do I treat Horse, Human, Hound—yes, the quirk doesn’t stop there, I also treat many other farm animals, including cows, sheep, alpacas, goats and llamas (my dream is to someday work with Zoo’s and casually treat a tiger or a Rhino!) I collaborate closely with veterinarians, farmers, and rescue groups, supporting animals who need help the most as we are their voice.
My passion for rehabilitation is deeply personal. After a life-changing horse fall and multiple surgeries, I understand first-hand the physical and emotional challenges of recovery. This experience, along with my background as a former gym owner, shapes my understanding of strength, movement, and recovery.
At The Healing Barn, whether you prefer treatments in the comfort of your own home with our mobile service or at our peaceful farm with stunning views, I’m here to support you and or your animals every step of the way.
When I’m not working and treating bodies, you’ll find me working on our own agistment property or hanging out with our rescue pets—Brocky the dog, my horses Pride and Jack, and our cows Atly and Grizzly.
I’m a social butterfly, I love adventures and I love to travel when my pets allow me.
I’m also passionate about interior design and renovating our own farm.
My dream is to continue helping people and animals become more mobile and pain-free, and perhaps even flip houses on the side if I can convince my other half!
In the meantime, I look forward to meeting you and helping you or your animal back on the road to recovery!
